To register for any of the events listed below, you must create and log into a MyPennState profile. Creating your MyPennState profile is also the first step in the application process to Penn State.

Are you considering becoming a nurse or physical therapy assistant? Attend the Health Professions Open House at Penn State Fayette to learn more about the degrees required to work in these fields and how Penn State can help you get there! While on campus, attend the kickoff event for the Fayette County stop of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s 67 Counties, 67 Women: Facing Breast Cancer in PA traveling exhibit.

Veterans Day Application Workshop
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. | 110 Eberly Building

Each November, the Penn State Fayette Student Veterans’ Association hosts events in honor of veterans in our community. For any prospective student who visits campus on Veterans Day to apply for admission, Penn State will waive the $50 application fee! High school and college transcripts and SAT scores are typically required to complete the application. After you apply, stay for the Veterans Day events on campus and enjoy lunch on us! An RSVP is necessary to reserve your spot and lunch. Tours of campus will be available at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Adult Learner Seminar Series: Veterans and Families with the GI Bill
6:00 to 7:00 p.m. | Room 108, Eberly Building

If you are a veteran or a dependent of a veteran who is interested in attending college and using the GI Bill, this session will teach you how to navigate the college admissions process, apply for GI Bill benefits, request your official transcripts, and actually enroll in college. Attendees will learn the application process from beginning to end. Interested students can even start their Penn State application! $50 application fee will be waived. Beat the Deadline Open House
5:00 to 7:00 p.m. | 110 Eberly Building

November 30 is the recommended deadline for applying to Penn State. Students who apply by November 30 have a better chance to receive both admission and scholarships to attend Penn State! Prospective students will have an opportunity to work with an admissions counselor to apply in person to Penn State have the $50 application fee waived. High school and college transcripts and SAT scores are typically required to complete the application. Enjoy Penn State Creamery ice cream and learn about the next steps in the enrollment process during your visit.

If you have never attended college or have stepped away for several years, this session will explain how to apply to college, how you will be evaluated for admission, how to request official transcripts, and what happens next. Students attending this session will create a MyPennState account and learn all about the application process.  $50 application fee will be waived.

CEO Conversations is designed to give students the opportunity to have a conversation with proven leaders in the local, regional, and national business world about business, entrepreneurship, and leadership. This month's event will feature Dennis Yablonsky, chief executive officer of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and its affiliates. No RSVP is necessary.

Financial Aid 101 Workshop

The Office of Student Aid at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, will host a free financial aid workshops for prospective students. The Financial Aid 101 Workshop will introduce the types of financial aid, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and will offer information about how to finance a college education. The FAFSA for Fall 2015 applicants becomes available for completion on January 1, so don’t miss this important workshop!
